There are many things we can do on a computer. There are two (2) main ways to use a computer. You can use software applications on the computer without internet, and you can use apps on the internet.
Computer Applications:
Computer applications (or software) are programs that you have to add to your computer. You download and save them from the internet or install them from a CD. Common computer programs are Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. These are usually found together in Microsoft Office.

Word |
Word is a program you use to type words and sentences. You can save the documents. You can also open them again and make changes. |

PowerPoint is a program that makes slideshows. Each slide has information with words or images. PowerPoint is used for presentations to groups. |

Excel is a program that organizes information like numbers or lists. It makes spreadsheets. It uses formulas to automatically add numbers. You can make graphs from the information. |
