 In this module, you will: 

  • Determine the difference between a public and an academic library.
  • Familiarize themselves with materials and services at libraries.
  • Develop confidence and skills to ask for help at a library.
  • Identify and locate information and materials in a public or academic library.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of basic search strategies, such as identifying keywords and phrases, and how to conduct a search in a library’s online catalog.
  • Identify whom to ask for help in a library and how to register for a library card from either a public or an academic library.
  • Apply wh questions to the library experience.
  • Produce written wh questions and answers.
  • Apply addition and multiplication to calculate library fines.
  • Create a PowerPoint presentation about the library.
