Objectives: Libraries and Library Resources
In this module, you will:
- Determine the difference between a public and an academic library.
- Familiarize themselves with materials and services at libraries.
- Develop confidence and skills to ask for help at a library.
- Identify and locate information and materials in a public or academic library.
- Demonstrate an awareness of basic search strategies, such as identifying keywords and phrases, and how to conduct a search in a library’s online catalog.
- Identify whom to ask for help in a library and how to register for a library card from either a public or an academic library.
- Apply wh questions to the library experience.
- Produce written wh questions and answers.
- Apply addition and multiplication to calculate library fines.
- Create a PowerPoint presentation about the library.
