Addresses:
House Numbers or Building Numbers:
When we read or say the numbers in an address, we may say each digit separately (one at a time), or we may say them in groups of two (2) digits.
Example:
1038 might be "one zero three eight" or "ten thirty-eight".
2701 might be "two seven zero one" or "twenty-seven O one".*
16542 might be "one six five four two" or "one sixty-five forty-two".
*Notice that we often pronounce zero (0) as "O," like the letter O.
