Read:

You can use a possessive adjective to show who owns or has something.

Example:

Can you tell me your address?
Jamila wrote her name on the paper.

You can also show who owns or has something by adding a possessive S after the name of a person or another noun.  To write the possessive S, you write apostrophe (') plus "s".  Study the examples below:

Examples:

I will go to Julia's house for dinner on Saturday.
The first line of an address is usually a person's name.
Do you know the food bank's phone number?
The clinic's hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

We pronounce the possessive S the same way that we pronounce a plural S.  Sometimes, it sounds like an S sound, and sometimes it sounds like a Z sound.
