When we use adjectives to compare things, some endings of short words change to er.
We use comparative adjectives to talk about two (2) nouns. If one noun is more, we use a comparative adjective.
Example:
The interest rate for Bank of Washington is low.
The interest rate for Bank of Seattle is lower.
