Overview for Committee Members

OneNote is simply an electronic three-ring binder.  It allows you to store material on the web so that it can be shared by multiple people and accessed from anywhere.  The only thing that has changed with the process of Tenure Review Committees (TRC) at TCC is where members store their documents.  Instead of printing out a copy and giving it to the administrative support person, you will now upload it into OneNote yourself after you are sure it is complete.

Your Tenure meeting and practice should continue as it has in the past.  Nothing should be uploaded to the tenure dossier until you have had a chance to meet with the committee and determine that all documents are final.  After your tenure committee meeting is complete, then you are free to upload all documents presented and reviewed by the committee to the tenure dossier.

This module will contain information on:

  1. How to open the initial invitation and then find the dossier after that
  2. How to upload things to the dossier.

Things to remember:

  1. Once you have been invited to a tenure dossier you can access it again at any time in OneDrive (see how to upload things to the dossier).  You can access OneDrive easily through your Campus e-mail button in the portal.
  2. Do NOT add anything to the dossier until AFTER your tenure meeting - things added to the dossier should be finalized copies only.
  3. When uploading files make sure they are saved as pdf.
  4. Pay close attention to how you name things so that the files are easily recognizable inside of the dossier itself (there are instructions for naming conventions inside of the dossier - but basically want to name it -TypeOfDocument.QuarterItHappened.LastnameFirstname(of the committee member making the report).

For example - if Char Gore did an observation of Val Morgan-Krick for winter 2013 it would look like this:  ObservationOfMorganKrick.W13.GoreChar.
