Book Club

Overview

Book club members meet approximately three to four times per winter quarter. The goal of the program is to facilitate meaningful and thoughtful dialogue about important topics such as, but not limited to, teaching, learning, human behavior, and social justice. Book clubs provide members the opportunity to “examine their knowledge, beliefs, and practices through reading about alternate perspectives” (Burbank, Bates, and Kauchak, 2010, p. 58). TCC's book clubs are co-sponsored by the Faculty Professional Development Committee and the Division of Organizational Learning and Effectiveness.
