Adjunct Faculty Institute

Purpose: To provide a quarter-long learning experience for a cohort of twelve to fifteen TCC adjunct instructors from a variety of disciplines. In ten weekly sessions, the facilitators will share strategies to enhance learning at the college level. Members of the cohort will have multiple opportunities to discuss and share how they are implementing these new ideas into their classrooms.

Schedule: The AFI will meet every Wednesday beginning April 3, 2019 through June 5, 2019. 

Prerequisite: Must be scheduled to teach one or more classes at TCC during Spring quarter 2019.

Learning Objectives: Participants will:
• Explore existing lesson plans to identify ways to improve course outcomes.
• Focus on strategies to explore and integrate diversity in the classroom.
• Dialogue and connect with other faculty to inspire continued course development.
• Identify how the institute has affected their teaching philosophy.
• Engage with our adjunct learning community.
