Zoom Assistive Technology Settings
The primary features of Zoom are very accessible from the standpoint of assistive technology for attendees. Zoom has done some excellent work improving the accessibility of their product. There is a basic step for accessibility that should be enabled that is off by default which is to show all the meeting controls all of the time. Without this turned on, all of the functionality cannot be accessed with the keyboard only. This can be set in the user profile settings outside of a meeting session.
Steps:
- Launch Zoom without starting a meeting
- Use the Settings link (the gear icon) to go to Settings
- Open the "Accessibility" tab
- Select the checkbox for "Always Show Meeting Controls"
Alternatively, the hotkey to show/hide controls is the Alt key in Windows (Ctrl+\ for Mac)
