Networking and Cyber Security
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Networking & Convergence Program is to prepare students for entry-level positions in Network Administration and other associated current technologies, by providing high quality, relevant fundamental skills training, the opportunity to apply these skills in real-world scenarios, as well as where appropriate, industry certifications.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES (PLOs)
Upon successful completion of the course requirements for the A.A.S. degree in networking and Convergence Technologies, students will:
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills necessary in information technology (COK, COM, IIT).
- Exemplify professional and ethical behaviors required to perform effectively as an information technology team member within an organization (COK, IIT, LWC, RES).
- Implement critical thinking skills to provide sound solutions for information technology issues (COK, CRT, IIT).
- Plan to take responsibility for own lifelong learning including anticipation and adaptation to ever-changing business and technology environments (COK, LWC, RES).
- Demonstrate an integrated, comprehensive proficiency in the content area of information technology; interpolate this knowledge to the real world (COK, CRT, IIT, LWC, RES).
