MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Radiologic Science Program is to be committed to providing comprehensive instruction designed to respond to the dynamics and evolving nature of the healthcare community. It emphasizes excellence in patient care that is respectful of others, deliberate in the use of safe radiation practices, and graduates high quality professionals that contribute as critically thinking team members.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES (PLOs)

Upon successful completion of the Associates in Applied Sciences Degree in Radiologic Science, students will:

  1. Perform competently in the clinical arena including application of correct positioning skills and demonstration of correct application of technical factors (COK, CRT).
  2. Communicate effectively with patients and members of the health care team by demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills (COM).
  3. Think critically and adapt to changing conditions, such as adapting positioning skills for trauma patients and technical factors for atypical exams (COK, CRT).
  4. Demonstrate professionalism as a member of the health care team, including demonstrating responsibility and accountability (LWC, RES).
