A reminder that Monday, May 24, is the last day for students to withdraw from a Spring class with a W grade. Students do not need instructor permission and can withdraw from their ctcLink Student Homepage. If you have a student who is having difficulty, you can have them email enrollmentservices@tacomacc.edu for assistance. The W grade will be listed on the student’s transcript but does not impact their grade point average.

Starting Tuesday, May 25, students can request a WI grade from their instructor. Instructors may approve a WI grade or any other appropriate letter grade based on the syllabus. If an instructor approves a WI grade, this grade is entered by the instructor in the final grade roster. Students do not need to contact Enrollment Services. The WI grade will be listed on the student’s transcript but does not impact their grade point average.

Additionally, the last day for students to submit a request to receive a S/U grade for a Spring class is Monday, May 24. Student must first talk with their instructor and then fill out the online Spring 2021 S/U Grade Option form. Students are strongly encouraged to speak with their advisor before submitting the form, in order to determine how this change in grading will impact their future academic plans.

Students who are receiving Financial Aid are encouraged to work with the Financial Aid Office on how the above grades could impact future eligibility.

Please double check that your Canvas class roster matches your ctLink class roster by Monday, May 24. If you notice any discrepancies, please send me an email and I will look into it. This will ensure that final grade rosters have the correct students listed and will help Enrollment Services provide accurate enrollment reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse.
