All e-mail sent to the instructor must have the class title in the subject line (i.e.; subject: HIT 195). All emails should be signed with first and last name.

Please note that any email that has a hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc extension may not make it past the junk mail filter. Use your TCC email as discussed previously.

It is important that every message adhere to "The Core Rules of Netiquette":

Rule 1: Remember the Human
Rule 2: Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life
Rule 3: Know where you are in cyberspace
Rule 4: Respect other people's time and bandwidth
Rule 5: Make yourself look good online
Rule 6: Share expert knowledge
Rule 7: Help keep flame wars under control
Rule 8: Respect other people's privacy
Rule 9: Don't abuse your power
Rule 10: Be forgiving of other people's mistakes

Essentially, it is expected and required that students will conduct themselves in a civil and respectful manner at all times, including in class discussions, on clinical rotations, during chat rooms, discussion board postings, or through email communications. For general correspondence, informal language is fine provided it maintains proper grammar and spelling. Remember, you are in college folks. These skills have direct application to the workplace when you graduate and get that HIM job!
