This is a place to practice listening, spelling and pronouncing the sounds of the English alphabet, and also some sentence-level features of English pronunciation.

  3. consonant digraphs (2 letters, one sound) CH, SH, PH, KN, WR, -NG...
  4. vowels: A,E,I,O,U
  5. vowel + consonant + e; "name" vowel + e : EE, IE, OE, UE
  6. vowel combinations and digraphs: AI, -AY, OA,OI, UI, UY, IGH, OUGH...
  7. vowels + L and R
