COVID-19 Virtual Staff PD Organized by TCC

COVID-19Staff Professional Development Opportunities

Virtual PD Organized by TCC

TCC will be offering PD virtually this spring quarter. This means we will not be facilitating in-person PD sessions but instead offering PD via video conference or other virtual methods. You'll see some similar types of opportunities, such as workshops and book clubs, that you would see if we were working in person.

Virtual PD

We will be organizing several types of PD this spring quarter. Click on the types you are interested in learning more about. You can register for some of these opportunities using the link at the bottom of the page.

LDP: Communication and Leadership Studies

TCC has a Leadership Development Program (LDP) that started in 2017. In 2017-2019, the topic was Communication and Leadership Studies. We are opening a new cohort in spring quarter open to ALL TCC employees. We'd love for you to join this virtual cohort!

Here's an overview of the program:

  • Completely online: The program will be completely online. There will be approximately one module per week with reading, videos, or other content for you to learn from. During the week, you'll complete activities with your cohort, such as assignments and discussions.
  • Engaging content: This offering of the LDP has been created after three full offerings. We've had time to enhance portions that needed improvement and add new and interesting content.
  • Expert facilitation: Our Dean, Analea Brauburger, has offered to facilitate this offering of the LDP. She is an expert online professor with over 20 years of remote, online, and in-person teaching experience.
  • Opportunity for connection: Many of us are working from home and may be feeling disconnected from campus. This is a great opportunity to be in a "class" with some of your colleagues learning about your communication and leadership.

Registration is closed for the LDP this spring. We hope you can join a future offering of the LDP.
